ouch!

its been months

its been months since my last post, but life is finally slowing up....Yippee.

The last couple of months has:

seen Pete change directions regarding his career, and is enjoying every minute of it.

Has seen Pip working so hard with revision for Common Entrance exams, that i thought he'd suffer a brain melt, then pass them spectacularly, so well done hun, we are sooo very proud of you xxxx.

And has seen Kate grow into the funniest, cheekiest little 2yr old i have the pleasure of knowing, for those who know us well, ask Kate and Pete to Samba for you..... i promise you it will make you chuckle for weeks!

The chickens are thriving
and the veggie patch we planted in March has yielded its first crops!

Sick Apple

Pete's Macbook Pro looks sick !

symptoms:- reduced battery life and bulging battery!

not good, research into these symptoms = possible fire!

not wanting to chance this possible outcome, as his mac is his life, we chased through 2 counties this morning to our nearest Apple store to get someone to have a look at it.

(diagnosis- battery pox, cure- battery heaven.)

Credit where credit is due, they replaced the battery without a quibble! Hooray!

As Kate and I lamented the passing of such a trusty friend, we decided retail therapy was in order, to make us feel less sad :)

Kate came home with a Mickey Mouse! and i wangled a new pair of trousers!!! YEAH

we are now thinking of ways to sabotage the new battery, so we have to go back..... and do more shopping, well Kate needs Mini Mouse now :) and I have a pair of trousers that needs a new shirt....lol

A huge thank-you to John and Jo for a wonderful Saturday evening...

Especially Jo who prepared and cooked a lovely 3 course meal.... xx

Pete and I had a wonderful evening out on Saturday, thanks to John and Jo Davy.
We left the children in the care of their Grandparents (and emergency contact lists :)), and for the first time ever, since having Kate, ventured out of Brighton for a night out, (armed with mobile phones).

It was a great night, with no calls from frantic grandparents to say Pip had been swallowed by his computer or Kate was on the roof, (yes she is very much into climbing) and the time flew by... so much so it was suddenly into the early hours of Sunday morning and we thought it time to relieve the oldies of their charges, :)

never have i seen such an empty motorway!!!:)... we were back in brighton in a very reasonable time ;P

Now armed with the knowledge that we can once again resume our social lives, we have booked the olds solidly for the next 2 yrs..... joking!

but it was lovely to have got home to hear all had been well and that Kate, who is notoriously bad at sleeping, had gone through without waking at all..... 'sigh'
